Schoenenberger was one of the first manufacturers to decide to produce these top knives using powder metallurgical steels. In combination with our carbide tipped bottom knives, this gives you an optimum service life. This is achieved by a kind of sharpening process through the top blade on the bottom blade. Due to the good grinding and polishing properties of the powder steels when using diamond grinding tools, the cutting surfaces of the knives can be ground with less roughness. This is a prerequisite for significantly reducing the undesirable dust accumulation here as well.
