In addition to our tried and tested cutting blades made of solid carbide for compounding industry, the new ceramic cutting blade CE20S are now used in the production of Virgin Polymer. This technical ceramic convinces with its excellent wear and abrasion resistance, which means that the CE20S cutting blade can offer a longer service life than comparable ceramic materials.

The CE20S cutting blade is characterised by outstanding cutting edge life, high fracture toughness and tensile strength as well as impressive corrosion resistance. As a premium ceramic cutting blade, it sets new standards in strand pelletising technology.

The sintering of the threaded holes makes it possible to insert the threads directly into the ceramic, similar to our proven solid carbide cutting blades. This eliminates the need for additional materials such as steel bushings and machining steps that could potentially weaken the ceramic or cause stress.

The high hardness of the CE20S is achieved by an increased density of the technical ceramic and the extended fracture toughness (elasticity) is redefined by the targeted addition of stabilisers.

The CE20S ceramic is available for all renowned strand pelletiser manufacturers such as Maag-Automatik, Maag-Scheer, IPS and Coperion. On request, we can also produce special dimensions to meet your individual requirements.
